OUR TEAM

At Olde World, our dedicated team brings a wealth of collective knowledge to the table. With a remarkable combined experience of 270 years (we did the math!) in the Kitchen & Bath industry, our team is dedicated to delivering excellence in every project.

Nancy is the inspirational core behind our team with an extensive and diverse background. She holds a degree in Industrial Educational Technology and was initially trained as an industrial arts teacher, covering woodshop, drafting, welding, and auto mechanics. Her career path included roles as a surveyor and a product engineer for a precast concrete company. Nancy delved into kitchen design after an introduction during her work designing Houseboats. A serendipitous moment occurred when Nancy answered an ad for a design and graphics job, which turned out to be one of the most esteemed kitchen and bath design firms at the time. While gaining great experience there, Nancy diligently pursued certifications in both Kitchen and Bath design, cementing her status as a Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer (CMKBD). In March of 1995, she and her husband relocated to Florida and, come June, they founded Olde World Cabinetry. Native to Michigan, Nancy brings a wealth of expertise and innovation to the table. Her interests extend beyond design; she’s an avid traveler, a boating enthusiast, a voracious reader, collector of watches, and is an advanced scuba diver. Nancy also has a knack for discovering unique treasures at thrift stores, adding a touch of character to both her designs, her life…and her wardrobe.
John has been instrumental in shaping the foundation of our company. Together with his wife Nancy, they established our business in 1995, and their shared vision has been a propelling factor behind our success. John’s commitment to the company he and Nancy were building was evident from the very beginning. He wasn’t just the co-owner; he was our very first installer. In those early days, he even handled all our deliveries, embarking on flights to Kentucky and renting trucks to bring cabinets back to Florida. While he no longer does the cross-country drives, he continues to focus on the well-being of the business. With John’s ongoing support, our company continues to thrive and grow. Originally from Kentucky, John is, of course, a big Wildcats fan. He boasts a wide range of other interests, from his love for Rays Baseball to his fondness for The Bahamas and boating. He’s also known to make a mean beer cheese dip!
Kelly came to Olde World as an intern in 2004, after studying Interior Design and Business Management at Illinois State University. We officially hired her and she’s been growing through positions ever since, absorbing every aspect of the business. While Kelly originally wanted to specialize in designing kitchens due to their ever-evolving technology, her gained knowledge and growth through the years altered her course and she began designing and managing our operations instead. Actively engaged in all other aspects of the business as well, Kelly adds an indispensable force that propels our collective success. Still loving everything kitchens, that’s where you’ll usually find Kelly when she’s not in the office. She’s a meal prep pro who might have an addiction to cookbooks and small appliances. Beyond the culinary world, Kelly loves collecting multiple hobbies from crafting to edible gardening, cheering at Tampa Bay sporting events, and jet-setting to new destinations.
Kathy has a B.S. degree in Business from Eastern Montana College. She had 14 years experience working for Kampgrounds of America (KOA), City of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County Builders Association before coming to OWC, where she has worked more than 20 years. She enjoys jazz music, photography, rock hounding, cooking, gardening and traveling. She is also our “nerd holiday coordinator” forcing the office to celebrate Star Wars Day, Harry Potter’s birthday and International Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day. You can get your co-workers to celebrate anything with you if you bring treats!
